Adapting Scholarly Communication for the Digital Era: Publishing Strategies for 2025 and Beyond
Ruben Ragg
Editor in Chief, ChemBioChem, Wiley, Weinheim
Publishing has undergone a significant transformation—from print-only to digital access, and now to an ecosystem where over 90% of research articles are discovered through search engines, social media, or AI. While the core process of preparing a manuscript remained largely unchanged for several decades, emerging technologies such as AI promise to reshape this workflow significantly. At the same time, reading and information consumption habits have shifted dramatically, making visibility as critical as publication itself. This session will provide practical strategies for adapting manuscripts to the realities of modern publishing, ensuring that your research is not only published but also noticed in an increasingly competitive and digitally driven environment.
